Vaccines cause autism: Fiction
When UK researcher Andrew Wakefield came out with research showing a connection between vaccines and autism, it caused an uproar. Many parents stopped vaccinating their children in the fear it would cause the disorder. However, Wakefield’s research was never able to be replicated. In 2010 he was charged being dishonest in his research, and in 2012 Time magazine named Wakefield in a list of “Great Science Frauds”.
